Tourism can improve
cultural communications of tourists as well as hosts. From the cultural
transplanting theory, that can make the culture of tourists as well as hosts
close to each other (xiao-yan, 2013)
Based on cultural transplanting theory, advanced culture will have a
greater impact on the latter’s culture. Host will consciously participate in the protection
and development of local culture, and will promote that tourists broaden their
horizons. Tourist will understand more about the  world and
also keep pace. For example,to avoid being called culturally arrogant,
some hotels corporate with  local
features in hotel decorate, exhibit work of the indigenous painters or
sculptures, and display symbols of local lifestyle. On the others,Tourist
tickets income will be used to grow and protect the local culture with the
development of tourism. There are some negative culture impacts on tourism, traditional culture may become weak or even
assimilation owing to the encounter and conflict of different cultures.

Generally speaking, mainstream culture has a greater impact on subculture. At
first, the host would imitate the
tourist’s style of dress, behaviour , recreation, attitude and value. They are gradually affect by foreign cultures and
even abandon their own culture, especially young generation. For instance, more and more people never wear national costumes
in Xinjiang except for older generation. In order to pursuit of short-term economic benefits
and satisfying some tourists, the traditional host culture will be staged,
commercialized and even vulgarized. (xiao-yan, 2013) The
commercial activities of local culture is popular in many destinations. They
package their culture and treated as commodity for sale over which tourists and
entrepreneurs have rights from the tourist culture, rather than local. Some
cultures will be modified to be very different from authenticity. Therefore,
culture become to the tool for making money, and this is a meaningless. So as to satisfy mass tourists,
pseudo-artifacts  are produced and
commoditized creating standardized and inauthentic products. Some scholars
argue that tourists like commoditized, inauthentic products, imitations,
images, and so called ”staged attractions” (Boorstin, 1961).However,
whether visitors can truly experience the authenticity of cultures is debatable,
as most tourists are provided with virtual experiences.

Tourism as one of the largest and most influential industries in the
world, tourism has been established and has taken the lead in promoting triple
bottom line business principles with immeasurable positive environmental,
social and cultural benefits. More than ever, travelers are demanding less
environmental and cultural impact and more meaningful interactions with locals
in the travel experience. More importantly, the long-term economic viability of
the industry itself is at risk of degradation of the destination: beach
erosion, deforestation and population displacement. All travel-related
businesses are agile opportunities to work with local communities to deliver
mutually sustainable travel products and capitalize on emerging market
opportunities. As sustainable development has become an important policy issue
in the tourism industry, more and more discussions and criticisms are
increasingly aroused, and it is increasingly necessary to understand the nature
of the growth limit. Therefore, the sustainability of tourism is achieved
through the following ways: (1) Environmental resources are best used for
example keep it essential ecological processes and help protect natural
resources and the environment Biodiversity (2) socio-cultural authenticity of community
communities Respect  such as preserve the
cultural heritage and traditions built and lived Values, promotion of
intercultural understanding and tolerance (3) Ensure viable long-term economic
operation The socio-economic benefits of all stakeholders equitably
distributed(UNEP and UNWTO, 2005)
Sustainable tourism should also be maintained High level of visitor
satisfaction and guaranteed meaningful experience Tourists, raising awareness
of sustainability issues promote sustainable practices among them. (Romana,2012
)Make traveling more Sustainable means to its current and future economy,
society and culture Environmental considerations are taken into account in
planning, development and management Tourism Operations (UNWTO, 2012). The
government plays a crucial role in development. Tourism management and make it
more sustainable. Therefore, the government’s main function in fostering a more
sustainable tourism industry is to create an environment that will facilitate
or influence the more sustainable operation of the private sector and affect
the flow of tourists and patterns of behaviour, thus maximizing tourism
receipts and minimize the negative impact of tourism.
