Research Question: Can Marijuana Save Lives? Does it have medical benefits?
Annotation 1:  Scholarly Article 1:
Reference: Zimmerman, Bill, Rick Bayer, and Nancy Crumpacker. Is Marijuana The Right Medicine For You? : A Factual Guide to Medical Uses of Marijuana . New Canaan, CT: Keats Publishing, 1998.
Annotation: This source is a book on whether or not marijuana is the right medicine for you. It was written by three people, two of them being medical doctors and one of them being a doctor of philosophy. I decided to use this resource to inform you how medical marijuana was treated and taken over in the chapters and collected information about the condition, and why marijuana helps. Disease disorders that marijuana treats are : nausea and cancer chemotherapy, AIDS and HIV, glaucoma, multiple sclerosis, paraplegia and quadriplegia, epilepsy, pain management, migraine headache, arthritis, asthma, Crohn’s disease and other digestive problems, eating disorders and loss of appetite, moderate pain management, convulsions and tremors, sleep disturbances and stress relief, addiction and mood disorders.
The ratings obtained by the three authors show that the professionals in the field of study who have been drawn up for this text and I thought this was a very credible source.
Annotation 2:  Scholarly Article 2:
Reference:  Cushing, Raymond. “Pot Shrinks Tumors; Government Knew in ’74.” The American Medical Marijuana Association. 2000. 20 Oct. 2007
Annotation: This article covers a very scandalous story that takes place in 1974. However, many have not heard about this study. “Researchers in Madrid have announced that rats have been destroyed by incurable brain tumors by injecting them with the active substance in cannabis (THC).” Twenty-six years ago, a Virginia research team followed the same thing, which proves that this is true. In 1983, the Reagan / Bush administration attempted to destroy all 1966-76 cannabis research evidence. This is a story that can be based on my thesis, while giving a great example of the government rejecting marijuana as medicine.
It also states that THC is the major active component of marijuana which has anti-cancer properties. This compound is known to act through a specific family of cell receptors called cannabinoid receptors.
