Mark Twain was a famous American writer, writing classic novels like “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn”, “The Prince and the Pauper”, and “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”. Mark Twain had an interesting life, from being a river-boaters apprentice to predicting the time of his own death. His childhood was often the inspiration for some of his characters and books, like Glasscock island influencing the creation of Jackson’s Island in “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” and Hannibal, Missouri inspiring St. Petersburg in  “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” and “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”. His books made such an impact on American society that we still read his books several generations after they were first written.In Mark Twain’s first ten years of youth, he was sick child while his mother tested all sorts of remedies including allopathic and hydropathic solutions but, while Mark Twain was sick it was known to get into mischief to “test her indulgence”  and is quoted asking his mother asked her about his health during those sick years: “I suppose during that whole time you were uneasy about me?” “Yes, the whole time,” she answered. “Afraid I wouldn’t live?” “No,” she said, “afraid you would.” while his mother was in her 80’s (“Mark Twain,” When Mark Twain wasn’t sick, he adventured, and some of those adventures later grew to inspire some of his books. For example, drawing inspiration from his childhood friend Tom Blankenship. Mark Twain’s inspirations weren’t limited to his friends and experiences, he also drew inspiration from his childhood self for one of the main characters of two of his books called Tom Sawyer. Later in his youth, he moved to  Hannibal, Missouri where many more adventures happened with even more inspiration for his books.During his adult years, he wrote many books like “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn”, “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”, and “The Prince and the Pauper”.
